About Bolton Art Space & Florian Redmond

The story of passion, process, and purpose.

Florian Redmond has always believed that art should feel alive. Before founding Bolton Art Space, he spent years traveling across Canada and Europe – studying color, form, and the emotional rhythm that shapes creative work. His paintings have appeared in galleries and private collections, yet Florian always felt something was missing: a place where art could grow in real time, surrounded by conversation, collaboration, and community.

That idea led him home to Bolton, where he transformed an open studio into a shared creative environment – a space where anyone, regardless of experience, could find inspiration and guidance.

The Concept

A living space for creativity.

Founded by visual artist Florian Redmond, Bolton Art Space emerged from the desire to create a nurturing environment for artists of all levels. Since opening its doors, the studio has welcomed numerous workshops, exhibits, and events, transforming lives and cultivating creativity within the vibrant Bolton community. Each initiative has ignited the passion for art and relationships among participants, establishing the space as a creative haven.

Bolton Art Space isn’t just an art studio – it’s a movement built around connection. Florian designed it to dissolve barriers between artist and viewer, student and teacher.
Here, art is not a finished product but a living process. Visitors are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and create alongside others. The studio’s atmosphere blends structure with spontaneity – a perfect balance that invites both focus and freedom.
Florian often says:

“Art happens in the moment we stop trying to make it perfect – and simply let it exist.”

This philosophy defines every workshop, exhibition, and collaboration that takes place within these walls.

Where ideas take shape.

Step inside, and you’ll see why the studio feels instantly welcoming. High ceilings, soft light, and the scent of wood and paint fill the air. Canvases lean casually against the walls, waiting to be transformed.

The main studio floor serves as both workspace and gallery – constantly evolving with new projects. Shared tables encourage dialogue between artists. A small reading nook with art books and journals invites reflection. The layout itself mirrors Florian’s belief that creativity thrives when it flows freely, without rigid separation.

Our Mission

To make art accessible, personal, and shared.

At its heart, Bolton Art Space stands for creativity without walls. The mission is simple:
to foster collaboration, nurture local talent, and create meaningful cultural exchange within the Bolton community and beyond.

Through workshops, residencies, and public events, the studio brings together people of different backgrounds and skill levels – proving that art can bridge perspectives and build lasting connections.

Visitors often describe the space as calm yet electric, intimate yet open. It’s a place that leaves a mark not only on canvases, but on those who step inside.

A Word from the Founder

“When I see people losing themselves in creation – forgetting time, forgetting rules – that’s when I know the space is working. That’s when art truly becomes human.”
